Explore our 18th century Bed and Breakfast

The Great Room

Let your colonial adventure begin as you enter Heavitree through the exquisitely furnished Great Room. While not original to the tavern, the Great Room was built with historic doors, chestnut floor boards, antique glass in every window and more – all 18th century. Enjoy a fire in the fireplace, try your hand at the piano, or just take in the atmosphere in this great, welcoming room.

The Keeping Room

Our charming Keeping Room is an ideal setting to host a comfortable gathering of six or more. This is one of the treasures of our carefully restored farmhouse with its beautiful hardwood floor and massive stone fireplace. Furnished per the era and seasonally decorated.

Heavitree's Kitchen

Here is where Charlotte creates an incredible breakfast just for you! Eggs Benedict is the house special, but the inn welcomes you, along with your favorite breakfast desires.

The North Paralor

The Parlor has been accented with 17th Century English Antiques to complement our ancestry. This sun filled room is lovely for reading or just relaxing. A favorite for the bride to use to prepare for her wedding.

The Dining Room

Our dining room seats up to four comfortably, a cozy six if you wish or enjoy a romantic, private breakfast for two. During large private parties this room serves well as the dessert room.  Decorated to celebrate each season.

The Tap Room

One of our highlights at Heavitree, this historically accurate room has a reproduction of a typical 18th century cage bar, or wicket, and offers a surprisingly spacious entertainment space.  Book the tap room for an intimate after-hours business meeting or for a small private party. With a large screen TV hidden behind the raised panel wall, this room is designed for convenience and pure pleasure.
